Softball Recap: Perham's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Perham dropped their record down to 8-11 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They lost 14-7 to the Park Rapids Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Avaeh Grismer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

As for Park Rapids, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games.

On Park Rapids' side, Nora Cederstrom was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Allie Rowland, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
