Basketball Game Preview: Eudora Cardinals vs. Ottawa Cyclones

The Eudora Cardinals are taking a road trip to take on the Ottawa Cyclones on Friday. Ottawa took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eudora, who comes in off a win.

Eudora is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Louisburg 61-34. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ottawa entered their game against Osage City on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Ottawa took a 57-39 bruising from Osage City.

Eudora's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Ottawa, their defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.

Eudora couldn't quite finish off Ottawa in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 49-47. Can Eudora avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
