Baseball Game Preview: Christopher Cougars vs. Westmont Warriors

The Christopher Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Westmont Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Christopher and four for Westmont.

Pioneer hit Christopher with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars fell 7-3 to the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Westmont didn't have quite enough to beat Gunn on Saturday and fell 4-3.

James Doherty made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Westmont's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Christopher, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Christopher beat Westmont 5-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
