Recap: Rocket City Falcons vs. Bluegrass Blazers
The Rocket City Falcons stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They put the hurt on Bluegrass with a sharp 48-25 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Rocket City has posted since November 7, 2023.
Rocket City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elizabeth ( Bess ) Shea, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Shea is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was MacKenzie Baker, who scored 12 points.
Rocket City's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Bluegrass, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocket City will take on Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluegrass will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Educational Consortium at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th.
