Volleyball Recap: North Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

North Mecklenburg came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mooresville Blue Devils, falling 3-0. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.

While North Mecklenburg ultimately came up short, they really made Mooresville work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 26-24.

Mooresville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Siena DiThomas, who had eight digs and three aces.

North Mecklenburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, North Mecklenburg will challenge Central Cabarrus at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mooresville, they will head out to face off against Pine Lake Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
