Softball Recap: Leo Lions vs. East Noble Knights
With a playoff game on the line, Leo rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the East Noble Knights 4-2. The win was nothing new for Leo as they're now sitting on four straight.
Mackenzie Arroyo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Lillian Pierce was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Madyn Mohr, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Leo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. As for East Noble, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12-1.
