After flying high against Amanda-Clearcreek last Friday, Bloom-Carroll came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 7-2 to the Olentangy Braves on Thursday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bloom-Carroll saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Brandt, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bloom-Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Olentangy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloom-Carroll will host South at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Olentangy, they will welcome Olentangy Liberty at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Braves are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Patriots a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
