Volleyball Recap: West Clermont Wolves vs. Princeton Vikings

West Clermont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Princeton Vikings. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

West Clermont started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Jacob Ziebold and Isaac Brosch, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Jordan Michael Pack and his 11 assists. Zander Bentley controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

West Clermont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Princeton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, West Clermont and Princeton will both be playing Loveland the next time they take the court. Princeton will host Loveland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while West Clermont will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th.
