Richland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Regan, who threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. Those 289 passing yards gave Regan a new career-high. Arnold Mugerwa also helped out as he racked up 129 receiving yards.
Richland's run defense was locked in: Huntingdon could only muster 2.7 yards per carry. The Rams didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.8.
Meanwhile, United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]'s game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Purchase Line 41-22.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Shaydon Oleksa and Victor Bartlebaugh. Oleksa had a great game and rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. Meanwhile, Bartlebaugh was balling out in the loss, rushing for 201 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.
United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]'s defense made their presence known, laying out Bartlebaugh 9.5 times. The heavy lifting was done by Logan Lichtenfels and Nate Szymusiak, who racked up five sacks between them.
Richland's record now sits at 9-1. As for United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United], their record is now 7-3.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Richland has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 153.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 234 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
