Football Recap: Lummi Falls Short Against Ranked Ocosta

Lummi faced Ocosta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Blackhawks fell 26-20 to the Wildcats. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ocosta was led to victory by Dayshawn Carter and Benjamin Tackett. Carter gained 77 total yards and two touchdowns, while Tackett gained 80 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Tackett posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Lummi now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Ocosta, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Lummi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ocosta, they will take on DeSales at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Irish have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
