It's playoff time, and Kingwood Park had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Santa Fe Indians 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Garrett Koshkin looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kevin Rios, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Slonaker, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Kingwood Park's win bumped their record up to 28-7-1. As for Santa Fe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-13.

Coming up, Kingwood Park will square off against Weiss on Saturday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
