Soccer Game Preview: Compass - Midtown vs. Memphis East

Compass - Midtown hasn't had much luck against Memphis East recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Compass - Midtown will challenge Memphis East at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Compass - Midtown is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Pleasant View. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Compass - Midtown couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Memphis East's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They and Crosstown finished up their game with a 1-1 draw. The result kept Memphis East happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 1st.

Their goal came courtesy of Randy Butler, who's now up to nine this season.

Compass - Midtown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. Memphis East's draw makes their record 8-2-2 this season.

Compass - Midtown couldn't quite get it done against Memphis East in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can Compass - Midtown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
