Volleyball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Takes a Loss

Maroa-Forsyth was the 2-0 winner over Warrensburg-Latham when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Maroa-Forsyth sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 19-25, 25-10.

Adelyn Simmons paced Maroa-Forsyth's offense, picking up ten kills. Simmons got some help from Jacy Ravenscraft and her 20 assists. Ravenscraft was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Maroa-Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.

Maroa-Forsyth will face off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they will square off against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
