Volleyball Recap: Whitefield Academy Comes Up Short

Whitefield Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dalton Catamounts.

Madison Auer paced Whitefield Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Auer got some help from Hayley Funk and her ten assists.

Dalton can attribute much of their success to Andrea Hernandez, who had six digs and six aces. That's the most aces Hernandez has posted over her last six contests.

Whitefield Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Dalton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Whitefield Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Allatoona on the 16th. As for Dalton, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Collegedale Academy on the 23rd.
