Softball Recap: Ledford Comes Up Short

After flying high against Asheboro last Friday, Ledford came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the North Davidson Black Knights by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Emma Tesh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Hailey Hoots, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ledford suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 10-3. As for North Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Ledford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 win against Eastern Randolph on the 2nd. As for North Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-2 victory against West Davidson on the 2nd.
