Timber Creek Regional won the last time they faced Cumberland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Chargers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Colts. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Brycen Monitzer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brayden Simpson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Chase Smith, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Timber Creek Regional's record is now 6-7. As for Cumberland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
