Softball Recap: Mulvane Comes Up Short

Mulvane had lost four straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 6-8 to make it five. They lost 12-4 to the McPherson Bullpups. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 27th.

Reese Lazier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bailey Hall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for McPherson, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0. Considering they have won four games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On McPherson's side, Carmin Pavlovich was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Haely Hagemann was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, Mulvane will be playing at home against Pratt at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McPherson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
