Basketball Recap: Kewanee Takes a Loss

Kewanee was the 56-44 winner over Macomb when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Kewanee Boilermakers fell 48-36 to the Macomb Bombers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Boilermakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Bombers are ranked 147th).

Kewanee's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Macomb, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Kewanee will take on Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kewanee is facing Ottawa at the right time seeing as Ottawa is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Macomb has already played their next game (against Bushnell-Prairie City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
