Preview: Shorewood Greyhounds vs. New Berlin West Vikings
The Shorewood Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the New Berlin West Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Shorewood suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Friday. Their tough 77-52 loss to South Milwaukee might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Shorewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while South Milwaukee is ranked 137th).
Meanwhile, New Berlin West's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeside Lutheran.
Shorewood's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-12. As for New Berlin West, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Shorewood was able to grind out a solid win over New Berlin West when the teams last played back in December of 2018, winning 54-46. Will Shorewood repeat their success, or does New Berlin West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
