Basketball Recap: St. James Academy Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

St. James Academy won against Heritage Christian Academy last Friday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The St. James Academy Thunder came out on top against the Bishop Miege Stags by a score of 61-51. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Stags are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jacob Fratzel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 15 points. Matthew Davis was another key player, posting seven points.

St. James Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bishop Miege, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

St. James Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-46 win against Blue Valley Southwest on the 14th. As for Bishop Miege, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-62 defeat against Lincoln College Prep on the 14th.
