Baseball Recap: Carver Montgomery Takes a Loss

Carver Montgomery's last matchup with Brewbaker Tech could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. Carver Montgomery lost 18-11 to Brewbaker Tech. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (ten), the Wolverines still had to take the loss.

Chance Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jerome Price, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Jackson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Carver Montgomery kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

This is the second loss in a row for Carver Montgomery and nudges their season record down to 5-6. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Brewbaker Tech, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-13.
