It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Chatham Charter had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Ocracoke Dolphins get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
M. (Jax) Young was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Hunter Murphy was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI. Luke Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
