Softball Recap: South Eugene's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

South Eugene had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the North Salem Vikings on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Axe: when they faced off against the Vikings back in March, they had to take a 16-11 defeat.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-13. As for North Salem, their loss was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Eugene will venture away from home to face off against Grants Pass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Cavemen have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for North Salem, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Albany at 5:00 p.m. on May 5.
