Softball Recap: Amherst Takes a Loss

Amherst blew Iola-Scandinavia out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Iola-Scandinavia got their revenge. The Falcons fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 6-4. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Amherst saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKenna Orsund, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Amherst now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Iola-Scandinavia, their record now sits at 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Amherst is set to square off against their familiar foe Bonduel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Iola-Scandinavia will face off against rival Manawa at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
