Softball Recap: Palo Duro Takes a Loss

Palo Duro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Plainview Bulldogs. The Dons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 12-7.

Palo Duro saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jezz-Lynn Garza, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Palo Duro's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Plainview, they moved to 3-15 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Coming up, Palo Duro will take on Caprock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Longhorns have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.64 runs per game on average), something the Dons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Plainview, they will face off against Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
