Baseball Recap: Boone Wins Going Away Against Osceola

Boone not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2, 2024. They put the hurt on the Osceola Kowboys with a sharp 6-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Not much got past Collin Lock, who gave up just four hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Osceola off the board. Lock has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Boone's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Leyton Seidl, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave Seidl a new career-high in RBI. Rhys Woodrow also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Boone and bumps their season record up to 3-7. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing nine hits in those games compared to only 2.13 in the others. As for Osceola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boone will welcome University at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Osceola, they will host Owasso at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Owasso will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Osceola surely won't give up without a fight.
