Basketball Game Preview: Buena Vista Bison vs. South Sioux City Cardinals

The Buena Vista Bison will head out on the road to take on the South Sioux City Cardinals on Friday. Buena Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Buena Vista was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Papillion-LaVista. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Buena Vista got top-tier performance from LC Doss, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The matchup was Doss' third in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Jarmon, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, South Sioux City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 60-46 bruising from Omaha Northwest.

Buena Vista's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-10. As for South Sioux City, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.
