Basketball Recap: Wayne Beats North Sevier for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Wayne had won four straight games dating back to last season and AJ VanDyke did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Badgers blew past the North Sevier Wolves 63-39 for which the team can thank VanDyke, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 30 points and eight boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Morrill, who posted ten points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Wayne's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for North Sevier, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne will head out to square off against Panguitch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Sevier, they will venture away from home to face off against Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
