Recap: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans vs. Lourdes Central Catholic Knights
After flying high against the Lewiston Tigers on Tuesday, the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans came back down to earth. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer was the victim of a rough 54-31 defeat at the hands of Lourdes Central Catholic on Friday. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer lost against Lourdes Central Catholic in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-31 score last time.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elie Bstandig, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds. Bstandig is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Laramie Glathar was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will be playing at home against Freeman on Tuesday. Freeman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer in Nebraska (Freeman is ranked 95th, while Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer is ranked 203rd). As for Lourdes Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Pawnee City on Tuesday. Hopefully Pawnee City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Saturday.
