Southmont won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mounties put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 12-6 victory. Considering the Mounties have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Ella Barry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 15 hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Southmont let Catie Himes and Mallory Mason run wild. Himes went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI, while Mason went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Himes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendall Priebe, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
