Basketball Recap: Mountain View Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Mountain View Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 73-52 to the Wakefield Country Day Owls. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.

Leading Wakefield Country Day to victory were Alfredo Martinez and Jacob Didomenico. Martinez posted 29 points, while Didomenico put up 24 points. Martinez's morning made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Will Wofford was another key player, putting up eight points.

Mountain View Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Wakefield Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Timber Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wakefield Country Day, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Immanuel Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Martinez and Caleb Mornan.
