Soccer Game Preview: Colorado Academy vs. The Classical Academy

The Colorado Academy Mustangs will head out to take on The Classical Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Colorado Academy is headed into the matchup having not lost since the 3rd and will look to keep things rolling. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over Jefferson Academy on Thursday. That four goal margin sets a new team best for Colorado Academy this season.

Their offense was hitting Jefferson Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Adrian Moreno-Rosales led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Classical Academy). Their defense stepped up to hand Elizabeth a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. Given The Classical Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Elizabeth are ranked 149th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-2. As for Colorado Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2-3.
