Bear Lake had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 33-32 photo finish over the Mason County Eastern Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-40 back in December of 2024.

Bear Lake is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Mason County Eastern, they moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bear Lake will square off against Buckley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Buckley has won three straight at home, while Bear Lake won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Mason County Eastern, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mason County Eastern Cardinals challenge the Hesperia Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mason County Eastern is facing Hesperia at the right time seeing as Hesperia is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
