There's no place like home for Homestead, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over the Westmont Warriors on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Clay Bussey and Andrew Sun did most of the damage at the plate: Bussey scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Sun scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Bussey has posted since back in March of 2024.

Homestead always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westmont only posted an OBP of .400.

Homestead now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Westmont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3-1.

Looking ahead, Homestead will be playing at home against Piedmont Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westmont, they will challenge Milpitas at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
