Volleyball Game Preview: Tioga Bulldogs vs. Sam Rayburn Rebels

Tioga has gone a perfect 5-0 against Sam Rayburn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Tioga will be strutting in after a win while Sam Rayburn will be coming in after a defeat.

If Trenton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Tioga, they should've done a better job of containing Bella Dennis. The Bulldogs blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Friday with plenty of help from Dennis, who had 14 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Sam Rayburn lost 3-0 to Whitewright on Friday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-16, 25-16.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Tioga, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7-2 record this season.

Everything went Tioga's way against Sam Rayburn in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Tioga made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
