Softball Recap: Parish Hill Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Parish Hill finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Windham Whippets. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Whippets: they've now lost four in a row.

Parish Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julie Millerd, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Millerd is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Eva Donnelly-Hardisty also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Parish Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Windham, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Parish Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Norwich RVT at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Windham, they will square off against Ellis RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
