Volleyball Recap: Riley Lo and Toby Hernandez Secure Win for Riverdale Ridge

It was a Battle of the Birds when Riverdale Ridge took on DSST: Cedar on Saturday. The Ravens blew past the Falcons 3-0.

Leading Riverdale Ridge to victory were Toby Hernandez and Riley Lo. Hernandez had five digs and three aces, while Lo had six assists and four digs. What's more, Hernandez racked up 14 assists, the most he's had since back in March.

They weren't the only good server: Riverdale Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Riverdale Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for DSST: Cedar, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Riverdale Ridge has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against DSST: Conservatory Green on the 5th. As for DSST: Cedar, they will host KIPP Denver Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
