Basketball Recap: Northgate Takes a Loss

Northgate lost against Dutchtown back in January of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northgate Vikings took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dutchtown Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Bulldogs are ranked tenth).

Northgate's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Dutchtown, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Newnan the next time they take the court. Northgate will head out to face Newnan at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Dutchtown will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
