After losing to Akron-Westfield the last time they met, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Royals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Westerners on Tuesday.

The win got Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union back to even at 1-1. As for Akron-Westfield, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.
