Basketball Game Preview: Nemaha Central Thunder vs. Sabetha Bluejays

The Nemaha Central Thunder will face off against the Sabetha Bluejays on Monday. Sabetha took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Nemaha Central, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Nemaha Central strolled past Concordia with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Panthers are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sabetha was beaten by Holton 55-27 on Friday. The Bluejays have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The win made it two in a row for Nemaha Central and bumps their season record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Sabetha, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
