Soccer Recap: Lumberton Picks Up 18th Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lumberton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They never let the Needville Bluejays get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for Lumberton, who have now won 14 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Needville from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal.

The victory (which was Lumberton's 18th in a row) raised their record to 20-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 89 goals over those 18 contests. As for Needville, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-8-1 record.
