Volleyball Recap: Sterling City Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Sterling City challenged Veribest on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Sterling City actually scored more points across those three sets (60-56), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Sterling City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Veribest, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Sterling City has already played their next match (against Sonora), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Veribest, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Reagan County on the 15th.
