It may have taken  ten innings to finish the job, but Grant ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They skirted past the Franklin Quakers  9-8. Winning may never get old, but the Generals sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Hazel Heron made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  ten innings while giving up  six earned runs off   ten  hits. Heron was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Nora DuLong was a standout: she went 2-for-6 with three  runs and two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Anona Kerrigan was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with two  RBI and one  run.
Grant's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1.
 Looking ahead, Grant will head out on the road to  square off against  Cleveland  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will face off against Lincoln at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Quakers are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
