Basketball Recap: Algonac Comes Up Short

Algonac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 74-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Croswell-Lexington Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Muskrats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Pioneers are ranked 149th).

Algonac's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Croswell-Lexington, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

When Algonac and Croswell-Lexington next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Algonac will try to stop Yale's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Croswell-Lexington will square off against Armada and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
