Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

If Centennial was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Whetstone on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stars lost 22-5 to the Berne Union Rockets on Thursday.

Kaela Haycook and Ellie Glover did some serious damage despite the final result: Haycook went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Glover got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Glover has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Berne Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Centennial will challenge Bishop Hartley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Berne Union, they will face off against Millersport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
