Volleyball Recap: San Rafael Starts Season with Victory Against Mt. Diablo

San Rafael had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mt. Diablo Red Devils. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: San Rafael took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-4, 25-13.

San Rafael didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Hercules on the 22nd. As for Mt. Diablo, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bethel at 6:30 p.m. on September 8.
