Monroeville is a perfect 10-0 against South Central since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Monroeville barely beat Carey the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 11-2 win on Thursday. Veanna Helmstetter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 22 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Taryn Tyler was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Avery Rosser was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Monroeville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.
