Newark Memorial came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Mission San Jose Warriors get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Cougars have won four games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

King Lopez-Archibald made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
