Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethesda Christian). They blew past the Liberty Christian Lions 17-6 on Thursday. The Patriots not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2024 (when they won 16-0).

Eliza Gibbs and Hana Henry did most of the damage at the plate: Gibbs went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Henry went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Henry has posted since back in April of 2024. Makaleigh Brann was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Bethesda Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Christian only posted a batting average of .333.

Bethesda Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Liberty Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Bethesda Christian will host Crawfordsville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty Christian, they will challenge Indiana School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
