While Reading Memorial might've come up empty on Friday, Grady Ventura wasn't going down without a fight. Ventura wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with two or fewer hits.
